Detlef Diederichsen

Detlef Diederichsen (* 1960 in Hamburg ; pseudonym: Ewald Braunsteiner ) is a German journalist and musician.

Life

Detlef Diederichsen grew up as the son of a teacher and the theater scholar Diedrich Diederichsen , together with an older brother, Diedrich Diederichsen , in Hamburg and graduated from high school in 1980 at the Johanneum . He is a founding member of the band Die Zimmermänner and was part of the Hamburg punk and new wave scene in the 1980s. Under the name Ewald Braunsteiner , he wrote numerous articles for Sounds and Spex . He was involved in the music project Flying Klassenfeind in 1982 and in the same year released a solo album entitled Volkskunst aus dem Knabengebirge .

In 1993 Detlef Diederichsen founded the label "Moll Tonträger" and produced a. a. FSK , JaKönigJa , The Sea and Cake , Souled American and Ethan James . Since October 1, 2006 Diederichsen has been Head of Music, Dance and Theater in the Berlin House of World Cultures .
