Detlef Kübeck (born February 22, 1956 in Schwerin ) is a German athlete who - starting for the GDR - won the silver medal at the European Championships in 1982 with the 4 x 100 meter relay of the GDR (38.71 s; Thomas Munkelt , Detlef Kübeck, Olaf Prenzler , Frank Emmelmann ). In the 200-meter run of these European Championships, he was eliminated in the semifinals.

On July 9, 1982 in Karl-Marx-Stadt (today Chemnitz), he set up the currently still valid German record in the 4-ma-100-meter relay with 38.29 s together with Thomas Schröder, Olaf Prenzler and Frank Emmelmann .

  • In 1980 he was nominated for the Olympic Games in Moscow, but could not take part due to an injury.
  • In 1984 he was also nominated for the Olympic Games in Los Angeles, but the 1984 Olympic Games in LA were boycotted by the Eastern Bloc countries .

Detlef Kübeck started for the SC Tractor Schwerin . During his competition time he was 1.83 m tall and weighed 84 kg.
