Detlef Robitzsch (born June 13, 1954 ) is a former German soccer player. From 1974 to 1984 he played for Halleschen FC Chemie (HFC) in the GDR Oberliga , the top division in GDR football . Robitzsch is a multiple young national player.

Athletic career

In 1961, at the age of seven, Detlef Robitzsch was accepted into the children's team at SC Chemie Halle, the predecessor of the HFC. As a junior player of the HFC, he was included in the squad of the GDR junior national team in 1970 and played 32 international matches until 1972, in which he scored five goals.

In the 1971/72 season Robitzsch was already used at the HFC in the men's area, where with the second-rate GDR league team HFC II played ten point games and scored one goal. One season later he was already a regular in the 2nd team with 16 appearances in 22 games played. Since the first team was relegated from the league after this season, Robitzsch was taken over in their squad in 1973/74, and with 22 league appearances and two goals he was instrumental in the immediate resurgence. Except for the 1975/76 season (only four games) he was part of the HFC league team until 1980, where he was mainly used as a midfielder. Between 1974 and 1975 he played seven international matches with the GDR youth national team and scored five goals. In 1977 he was used in an international B match.

In November 1980 Robitzsch began his military service in the National People's Army , which he extended to three years instead of the usual 18 months. During this time he was able to continue playing soccer in the GDR league team in the army sports community Vorwärts Dessau . Of the 66 point games played during this period, he played 51 games in which he scored eleven goals.

After he left the army in October 1983, Robitzsch returned to HFC in early 1984, where he was used again in the league team from February and played eight times in his regular midfield position by the end of the season. Then the Halle residents were again determined to be relegated. Robitzsch was still nominated for the GDR league squad, but had to end his football career due to a serious muscle injury. In his nine league seasons he had played 140 point games and scored seven goals.

Robitzsch was then taken over by the management of the HFC, where he initially worked in the finance department and later became branch manager.
