Dettenried is a village in the canton of Zurich with 108 inhabitants. It is one of the 5 hamlets of the Weisslingen community .
location
The village lies on the Rikon-Weisslingen road and 1.5 km west of the Rikon station of the former Töss Valley Railway on the left bank of the Töss .
history
In the local lexicon of the canton of Zurich from 1841 it says that Dettenried is part of the parish and political community of Weisslingen and includes the village itself and the Schwendi farm with 168 inhabitants. In the 19th century, both formed the "Dettenried school cooperative with 19 everyday, 14 repetition and 22 singing students ".
Events
In 2008 the regional championships in club gymnastics for the Winterthur region and the surrounding area took place there.
