history

Deubach was first mentioned in a document around 1070 as "Tudebach".

The Augustinian Canons' Monastery of St. Georg and the Collegiate Monastery of St. Moritz from Augsburg had well-known estates in Deubach. During the Middle Ages, however, the greater part of the village was owned by Augsburg patrician families. The imperial city councilor Adam Zech acquired the Deubach estate in 1579. The family lived in the castle located in the middle of the village, from the remains of which today's village church was built.

It was an independent municipality and was incorporated into the municipality of Gessertshausen as part of the regional reform in Bavaria on May 1, 1978.
