Döpshofen is a parish village and district of the community Gessertshausen in the Swabian district of Augsburg in Bavaria ( Germany ), which is surrounded by the western forests.
The district also includes the village of Weiherhof and the hamlet of Engelshof .

history

Döpshofen with its districts was an independent municipality and was incorporated into the municipality of Gessertshausen on May 1, 1978 as part of the regional reform in Bavaria .
