Klimmach is a parish village and district of Schwabmünchen in the district of Augsburg in the administrative region of Swabia in Bavaria . The district includes the village of Leuthau , the hamlet of Froschbach and Guggenberg Castle . Klimmach and its districts are in the perennials .

The A 3 district road leads from Gessertshausen via Oberschönenfeld , Weiherhof , Döpshofen , Kreuzanger , Waldberg and Eggerhof to Klimmach, where it joins the A 16 . The district road A 16 leads from Walkertshofen via Münster , Zirken , Birkach , Klimmach, Leuthau and Königshausen to Schwabmünchen .

history

Until the regional reform in Bavaria on July 1, 1972, the independent municipality of Klimmach and its districts belonged to the district of Schwabmünchen and was then added to the district of Augsburg (initially called the district of Augsburg-West ). On January 1, 1978 it was incorporated into the city of Schwabmünchen .

The catholic parish Mater Dolorosa in Klimmach belongs to the deanery Schwabmünchen in the diocese of Augsburg . The parish also includes the villages of Birkach , Froschbach and Leuthau. Guggenberg belongs to the parish of Sankt Nikolaus in Großaitingen .
