German-Mexican Chamber of Commerce and Industry

The German-Mexican Chamber of Commerce and Industry ( Spanish: Cámara Mexicano-Alemana de Comercio e Industria - CAMEXA ) is the German Chamber of Commerce in Mexico, founded in 1929 and located in the Lomas de Santa Fe in Mexico City .

tasks

The main task is to promote economic relations between the two countries and to represent the interests of the members vis-à-vis state, public and private institutions and associations. A total of over 1,000 German companies are based in Mexico. As the southernmost member of the North American free trade zone , Mexico plays an important role in economic strategy as an industrial and commercial market due to its proximity to the other Latin American countries.

The current president is Edmund Duckwitz . Before that, Dieter Müllenborn was President of the Board of Management from 2002 to 2004. The manager Klaus Mangold , who became famous due to the problems in setting up a truck toll system in Germany, also worked for CAMEXA in the past.
