The German South West African Newspaper (DSWAZ) was a German-language newspaper in German South West Africa , today's Namibia .

It appeared as the successor to the Windhoeker Anzeiger (1898–1901 in Windhoek ) from 1901 to 1914. This was founded and managed by the lawyer Georg Wasserfall , who moved to Swakopmund in 1901 due to its proximity to the colonial administration and renamed the newspaper. In 1911 the Swakopmund bookstore took over the newspaper and merged it with the Swakopmund newspaper from the Peter & Stolze publishing house .

The DSWAZ was the organ of the German South West African Association and the Hamburg Association for German South West Africa .

The DSWZA was one of various newspapers in the German colony . The German South West African newspaper was published in Swakopmund and initially appeared three to five times a week, later only monthly. Every week it contained an agricultural supplement.
