Deutsch Nepal is the best-known music project and pseudonym of the Swedish industrial and dark ambient musician Peter Andersson. In addition, he also publishes under the project names Frozen Faces and Lina Baby Doll. Andersson publishes as Bocksholm together with the musician of the same name Peter Andersson , who like him grew up in Boxholm in the south of Sweden .

Career

Andersson was a member of the Swedish industrial band Njurmännen . In 1991 he released his debut album Deflagration of Hell under the alias Deutsch Nepal. The project name goes back to the song of the same name from the album Wolf City by the Krautrock band Amon Düül II from 1972.

This was followed by numerous publications on record labels such as Staalplaat , Cold Meat Industry and Old Europa Cafe . Andersson runs the metal label Entartete Musikk.

Piero Scaruffi counts Deutsch Nepal along with In Slaughter Natives and Raison D'Etre to the "generation of sound constructivists of the early 1990s".
