The German R + S , also briefly R + S called, is one of building cleaning specialized and security services services company headquartered in Hanover . As a holding company that operates German R + S Services Verwaltungs GmbH . The family company, founded in 1912, operates as an R + S group nationwide - including subsidiaries with a focus on services for hospitals - twelve branches with around 3800 employees and an annual turnover of around 70 million euros (as of April 2019).

Since 2011, the comic figure “Reiner Saubermann”, developed by caricaturist Dirk Meissner , has been the mascot to be found on numerous R + S advertising materials .

At the beginning of April 2019, the management of the Hanover-based building services provider filed for insolvency , as a result of which around 2430 employees were entitled to insolvency money. According to the appointed insolvency administrator Justus von Buchwaldt from the law firm BBL Bernsau Brockdorff, there are good reorganization opportunities for the company, which has been operating for more than a century.
