Dirk Meissner

Dirk Meissner (born April 6, 1964 in Aachen ) is a German painter , cartoonist , and caricaturist .

Life

During his studies in Cologne Meissner published cartoons from the world of work. After completing his degree in economics in 1992, he began working full-time as a freelance draftsman.

His cartoons were published regularly in the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung , the Leipziger Volkszeitung and the Süddeutsche Zeitung , among others . In 1995 he published his cartoons in book form for the first time. In 1996 he won the Frankfurter Rundschau caricature competition . Since then he has published several books, calendars and cartoon series and received numerous international awards.

The building and security service provider R + S has been using the mascot "Reiner Saubermann" developed by Meissner since 2011 .

Dirk Meissner is married and lives with his family in Cologne.
