Franz B. Döpper

Franz B. Döpper (* in the 20th century in Munich ) is a German economic historian, non-fiction author and editor, professor and honorary president of the Association of German Economic Historians .

life and work

From the 1980s onwards, Franz B. Döpper wrote, partly together with “[...] Dr. hc Ursula Döpper ”and others in the editorial team published the history series German cities as reflected in economic history . The series was published by Pro Historica, a society for German economic history based in Au in der Hallertau .

In the series, for example, Volume 2 appeared for the first time in 1985 under the title Hanover and its old companies , followed by a second, improved edition in 1989 as a DIN A4 work with more than 300 pages in dark red synthetic leather cover with gold-colored embossing. Greetings and forewords for the first edition of the around 100 Hanoverian company chronicles in hard cover, illustrated with black-and-white images, wrote the then Lower Saxony Minister for Economics and Transport Birgit Breuel , the former Lord Mayor of the Lower Saxony state capital Herbert Schmalstieg , the former chief city director Hinrich Lehmann-Grube and the honorary president of the Association of German Economic Historians Professor Franz B.
