The German School "Alexander von Humboldt" ( Colegio Peruano Alemán Alexander von Humboldt ) in Lima is a private , bilingual , bicultural and experimental school; an encounter school that is generously supported by the Federal Republic of Germany financially and by sending teachers. It is an excellent German school abroad and Pasch school.
Since 1994 there have been agreements with the Peruvian universities with regard to school-leaving qualifications, so that in addition to the German Abitur, students can also acquire the right to study at the local universities without further admission exams.
history
Around 1880, under the chairmanship of the later Peruvian President Manuel Pardo, a school association was set up in Lima with the aim of founding a first German high school in the capital. After some ups and downs, the school was reopened as Colegio Alexander von Humboldt as a German school in 1952 . Since 1983 it has had its current character as a binational, bilingual German-Peruvian encounter school .
