description

The aim of the German Education Prize is to strengthen corporate education and talent promotion alongside school and university education in the public eye and to create optimal framework conditions for networking the individual educational areas. The German Education Prize is awarded to companies and institutions that promote the training and development of their employees through strategic education and talent management .

The German Education Prize has been awarded five times so far: 2013 in Stuttgart, 2014 in Munich and 2015, 2016 and 2017 in Berlin. The companies with the best education and talent management systems are awarded in five categories. In the areas of service and trade / production, small, medium-sized and large companies are honored. In addition, particularly creative approaches are highlighted with the innovation prize. The categories were changed in the 2017 Education Prize. Three categories included company size: small, medium and large companies. In addition to the innovation prize, a prize was awarded in 2017 that honored excellent training projects.

The application process for the German Education Prize is open to all companies and institutions as well as public administration, social and health facilities, is free of charge and includes a questionnaire and the auditing of the finalists.

Scientists, representatives of research institutes and representatives of the economy form the advisory board of the German Education Award, which is supposed to ensure the quality and objectivity of the application and selection process and decides on the award of the prizes. Members of the expert advisory board of the German Education Prize are (as of 2017):
