The German Mittelstands-Bund eV (DMB) is a politically independent business association based in Düsseldorf .

The association is an interest group for small and medium-sized companies in Germany . The DMB is branch-neutral and politically cross-party and represents over 14,000 member companies in their economic interests. The DMB is set up centrally and is based on its own member companies, without the attribution of partner associations or other sub-organizations. In its political association and lobbying work , the DMB seeks cross-party discussions and the exchange of ideas with politicians at state and federal level. In addition, the DMB is taken into account in various hearing procedures and is entered on the official lobby list of the Bundestag . In addition to the political association work, membership in the DMB eV includes business-relevant added value and services. DMB eV has many partners, especially in the automotive industry . A wide variety of advantages in cooperation with automobile manufacturers such as B. Mercedes-Benz , Opel , Toyota , Hyundai and Kia are offered. Furthermore, the association offers its members discounts in cooperation with service providers, such as B. in online marketing with ReachLocal . In addition, DMB eV has set up competence centers with background information and decision-making aids on the topics of " Generational change and succession planning in medium-sized companies", " Liquidity and financing in medium-sized companies", " Internationalization in medium-sized companies" and " Digitization in medium-sized companies" as part of a number of cooperations .

The association was founded on September 27, 1982 in Düsseldorf and has been financed exclusively through membership fees since it was founded . Marc S. Tenbieg has been the managing director of DMB eV since May 2011. The DMB publishes the association magazine "Mittelstand Intakt" for its members twice a year.
