The German Deep Sea Fisheries Association e. V. , as an amalgamation of the German companies involved in large-scale deep-sea fishing, is their central representation of interests.
It was founded in 1918. Due to the process of concentration and structural change, the number of members has continuously decreased and today still comprises three member companies, which cover the entire German deep-sea fishery. The DHV is a member of the German Fishing Association

- Doggerbank Seefischerei GmbH ( Bremerhaven ) including the following subsidiaries:
- Ostbank Hochseefischerei GmbH, Sassnitz
- Oderbank Hochseefischerei GmbH, Sassnitz
- Nordbank Hochseefischerei GmbH, Sassnitz
- Westbank Hochseefischerei GmbH, Sassnitz
- Mecklenburg Hochseefischerei GmbH ( Sassnitz -Neu Mukran)
All members are parts of foreign fishing groups. The Deutsche Fischfang-Union belongs to the Icelandic Samherji group, Doggerbank and Mecklenburg deep-sea fishery to the Dutch Parlevliet & Van der Plas group.
