The German Pacifist Student Union (DPSt.) Was a cross-party political student organization from the interwar period . It was founded in October 1920 at the German Pacifist Congress in Braunschweig and campaigned for reconciliation with the former war opponents and for international cooperation.

The centers of the DPSt. were mainly at the larger universities such as Berlin, Frankfurt / Main, Cologne and temporarily Hamburg. In many smaller universities, however, the federal government was often only represented temporarily; the few individual members were often involved in other left-wing groups within the student body. There were closer and lasting collaborations, especially with the Reich Association of German Democratic Students and the Socialist Student Union, as well as with groups from the Catholic and Protestant peace movement.

In the annual AStA elections, the DPSt. like most left-wing groups only minor successes and therefore concentrated his work essentially on lectures and propaganda events on topics such as conscientious objection , international law and the League of Nations . Individual groups located particularly close to the border, such as in Wroclaw, Königsberg or Freiburg, also maintained close contacts with Polish or French universities.

The organization was a member of the German Peace Cartel and cooperated with other organizations such as B. the German League for the League of Nations , the International Workers Aid and the League against atrocities of war and imperialism .
