Authorized
All elementary schools that promote the healthy development of their students in a special way are invited to take part in the competition for the German Prevention Award. One focus should be on improving the health chances of children from socially disadvantaged families. We are looking for competition entries that show how the following three aspects are systematically and sustainably taken into account in everyday school life:
- Promotion of physical activity
- Healthy eating
- Psychosocial Health
In addition, the elementary schools should have practically implemented the measures described for at least a year and the concept should be long-term.
Award
The German Prevention Prize provides prize money totaling € 100,000. The prize money is intended for the continuation of the award-winning measures. The prize is awarded in three categories: half-day elementary school, open all-day school and bound all-day school.
