German Viticulture Association

Members are the regional viticulture and Raiffeisen associations as well as the Federation of German Rural Youth . " Der Deutsche Weinbau " is the official organ of the German Viticulture Association and its regional member associations.
history
On September 30, 1874, the predecessor organization of the German Viticulture Association was founded in Trier , the German Viticulture Association , which still consisted of individual members. Its first president was Adolf Blankenhorn from Müllheim (Baden) . On April 27, 1913, a tighter form of organization was adopted in Mainz ; membership was now reserved for regional winegrowing associations, individual membership was excluded. The previous viticulture association now called itself, as the top organ of the regional associations of its new organizational form, the German Viticulture Association . Founding members were the regional associations of Baden, Bavaria, Hesse, Alsace, Prussia, Saxony and Württemberg. The board of directors of the German Viticulture Association was formed from the state boards; the first chairman was the Deidesheim landowner Franz Eberhard Buhl . Richard Graf Matuschka-Greiffenclau became honorary president of the new association .
