The Devene Point (English; Bulgarian нос Девене nos Dewene ) is a narrow and rocky headland of the Brabant Island in the Palmer Archipelago west of the Antarctic Peninsula . It protrudes 2.08 km northeast of Zabel Point , 8.5 km east-northeast of Gand Island and 4.68 km south-southwest of Fleming Point into the Dallmann Bay . It was exposed at the beginning of the 21st century when the Rush Glacier retreated .
The Bulgarian Commission for Antarctic Geographical Names named it in 2015 after the town of Dewene in northwestern Bulgaria .
