The Zabel Point (English; Bulgarian нос Забел nos Sabel ) is an icy and rocky headland of the Brabant Island in the Palmer Archipelago west of the Antarctic Peninsula . It is located 2.08 km southwest of Devene Point , 2.4 km northeast of Humann Point and 6.9 km east-northeast of Gand Island on the southwest side of the entrance to Buragara Cove . It was exposed by the retreat of the Rush Glacier at the beginning of the 21st century .
The Bulgarian Commission for Antarctic Geographical Names named it in 2015 after the town of Sabel in western Bulgaria .
