Devgarh (or Deogarh ) is a city in the Rajsamand district in the Indian state of Rajasthan .

Devgarh has around 17,500 inhabitants (2011 census). The city is located around 140 km north of Udaipur at 638 m. ü. It is surrounded by mountains of the Aravalli Mountains and numerous lakes.

In the history of Rajasthan, Devgarh was one of the 16 thikana given by the Maharana of Mewar . The fortifications and palace of Devgarh were built by Rawat Dwarka Dasji in 1670 . It was the family residence for over 300 years and is still in their possession. It has since been restored and is now used as a hotel. The current ruler is Rawat Shri Veerbhadra Singhji II, the 16th Rawat Sahib of Deogarh, since August 18, 2012.

The rulers of Devgarh were politically and culturally quite independent. Under the Rawats Jaswant Singh (r. 1734–1776), Ragho Das (r. 1776–1786) and Gokul Das (r. 1786–1821) worked the two painters Bagta (active c. 1761–1814) and Chokha (active 1799 - after 1826) in Devgarh. During this time Devgarh became one of the most important centers of painting in Rajasthan.
