Rajsamand ( Hindi : রাজসামান্দ) is a district in the western Indian state of Rajasthan .
geography
The area of the district is about 4655 km². The Aravalli Mountains form the north-western boundary of the district. The Banas River drains the area east to the Chambal . The administrative seat of the district is the city of the same name, Rajsamand, about 62 km (driving distance) north of Udaipur .
population
The population is 1,156,597 (2011 census). The gender ratio is 990 women for 1000 men. The literacy rate is 63.14% (78.42% for men, 47.95% for women). 95.6% of the population are followers of Hinduism , 2.91% are Muslims .

Attractions
- In the extreme south is the small town of Eklingji with its temple district, which is well worth seeing.
- Is located on the southwest border, Fort Kumbhalgarh , which along with other Hill Forts of Rajasthan for UNESCO - World Heritage belongs.
- On Haldighati -Pass a battle between the armies of the place in 1576 Rajputenherrschers of Mewar Rana Pratap Singh and the Mughal emperor Akbar I take.
