Rajsamand is a city in the Indian state of Rajasthan .
Rajsamand is the administrative center of the district of the same name . Dist city is located on the south bank of an artificially created lake at an altitude of 547 m . The Aravalli Mountains rise 20 km west of Rajsamand . The city is 67 km north of Udaipur and 352 km south of Jaipur . The Banas , a left tributary of the Chambal , flows east 5 km south of the city. The national highway NH 8 (Udaipur - Beawar ) runs through Rajsamand. In the 2011 census, the population was 67,798.
