Dewan Bandaraya Kota Kinabalu
Dewan Bandaraya Kota Kinabalu (DBKK) or Kota Kinabalu City Hall means the city council of the city and district of Kota Kinabalu in Sabah State , Malaysia . It was established on February 2, 2000 following the official elevation of Kota Kinabalu to city status. Previously, Kota Kinabalu was administered by the Majlis Perbandaran Kota Kinabalu (MPKK) , the Kota Kinabalu Town Council. The area of responsibility of the DBKK extends over an area of 351 square kilometers and includes not only the city center of Kota Kinabalu but also the sub-districts and cities in the surrounding area - including Tanjung Aru, Kepayan, Luyang, Inanam , Menggatal , Telipok and Sepanggar . This does not include the neighboring city of Donggongon , which is administered by the Majlis Perbandaran Penampang (Penampang District Council) .
