Dexmethylphenidate is a drug with a stimulating effect . It is the pharmacologically active (2 R , 2 ′ R ) enantiomer of methylphenidate and, like the racemic form, is used to treat attention deficit / hyperactivity disorder (ADD / ADHD), but in halved dosage.
Finished medicinal products
Dexmethylphenidate is available as sustained-release tablets in strengths of 5 mg to 20 mg (Switzerland) or up to 40 mg (USA). The water-soluble dexmethylphenidate hydrochloride is used in the manufacture of drugs .
