action

Dhamaal is about four friends: Boman Contractor, who lives a luxurious lifestyle with his eccentric father Nari. Nari loves his oldtimer more than his son and orders him to leave the house when he damages the car. The other three are stupid Manav, his older brother Adi, and Deshbandhu "Roy", a con man who wears a magnetized belt. These three men share a room with their landlady, who eventually throws them out. They steal a painting, sell it and get a lot of money for it. Once they spend it, they trick to get money. They repeat their first trick, but the group is arrested by the police. They are released in the country. At this point they witness a car accident in which the car falls off a cliff. The only inmate, Bose, an underworld boss, tells them before he dies that he has hidden 10 crore rupees in cash at St. Sebastian's Garden in Goa, and if they find it, the money will be theirs. Meanwhile the inspector Kabir Nayak comes and wants to arrest them again, because he thinks that they killed the underworld boss and know where the loot is hidden. Roy manages to save the group on a truck and they narrowly escape the police. The group drives to Goa in Contractor's stolen car, unaware that their plans will soon be thwarted by Police Inspector Kabir Nayak, whose department does not value his honesty. The inspector is annoyed because he wants to be promoted. The group members get into an argument with each other and they all fall apart. Whoever comes to Goa first and finds the money, owns it. Roy jumps on a bus and meets the bus hijacker, a bandit named Baabu Bhai, who also holds Roy hostage, but then later shares the money with Roy after Roy has told him the whole story and stands by him. Then we see Nari Contractor, who wants the money to repair his now completely damaged car. They all want the same stake, and each of them will do anything, even break the rules, laws, and ordinances to keep the money to themselves. Eventually they all reach Goa with a wide array of vehicles and even a plane and meet at St. Sebastian's Garden, where they decide to share the money. When they find it, they are all excited and happy. While immersed in their happiness, they fail to notice that Police Inspector Kabir ran away with all the money. Manuv sees it in time and everyone follows him. They were all on a TV show the whole time. At the end of the film, the four friends and the two who have joined them are shown fighting their selfishness by donating all of the money to charity.
