The 1992/93 season was the first regular season of the newly formed Sunshine Hockey League . During the regular season, the five teams were supposed to play 52 games each, but the schedule had to be revised due to the early, financially-related departure of the St. Petersburg Renegades . In the play-offs, the West Palm Beach Blaze prevailed and won the first Sunshine Cup in their club's history.
