history

The franchise began playing in the Sunshine Hockey League for the 1992/93 season under the name West Palm Beach Blaze as one of five founding members . In the first three seasons, the team dominated the league clearly and took first place in the table after the regular season and was able to win the Sunshine Cup , the championship of the SuHL in the playoffs . For the 1995/96 season , the Blaze changed their name to West Palm Beach Barracudas and the league also changed its name to the Southern Hockey League. After the season in which the Barracudas missed the play-offs for the first time in four years, the Southern Hockey League was dissolved and the team from West Palm Beach stopped playing.
