The Daytona Beach Sun Devils were an American ice hockey franchise of the Sunshine Hockey League from Daytona Beach , Florida .

history

The franchise began playing in the Sunshine Hockey League for the 1992/93 season under the name Daytona Beach Sun Devils as one of five founding members . In this, the Devils never got beyond the first playoff round. For the 1995/96 season , the Sun Devils changed their name to Daytona Beach Breakers and the league also changed its name to the Southern Hockey League. After the season in which Daytona Beach was eliminated for the third time in four years in the first playoff round, the Southern Hockey League was dissolved and the team from Daytona Beach stopped playing.
