The Jacksonville Bullets were an American ice hockey franchise of the Sunshine Hockey League based in Jacksonville , Florida .
history
The Jacksonville Bullets took on the 1992/93 season as one of five founding members to play in the Sunshine Hockey League . In their premiere season, the Bullets immediately reached the playoff final of the SuHL, in which they were defeated by the West Palm Beach Blaze in the best-of-five series with a sweep . In the 1994/95 season , the team again made it to the finals, but the West Palm Beach Blaze were again successful with a sweep in three games.
After the Jacksonville Bullets took sixth and last place in the league in the 1995/96 season , which had since changed its name to Southern Hockey League, the owners of the team together with the league stopped playing. The main reason, however, were the low attendance figures due to the competition of the Jacksonville Lizard Kings from the East Coast Hockey League, who were based in the city in 1995 .
