Dhing is a city in the state of Assam in eastern India .
The city is located in the Nagaon district 5 km south of the Brahmaputra and 23 km northwest of the district capital Nagaon . The national highways NH 35 and NH 37 run through the city. As a city, Dhing has the status of a Municipal Board and had just under 19,235 inhabitants at the 2011 census.
