Diana Evans

Diana Omo Evans (born 1973 in Neasden , London) is a British journalist and writer.

Life

Diana Evans is the daughter of an Englishman and an immigrant from Nigeria . She had a twin sister in the large family.

Evans studied media at the University of Sussex and received a Masters of Arts in creative writing from the University of East Anglia . During her studies she was a member of a black dance group in Brighton . Evans works as a journalist, she was a time editor at Pride magazine .

Her first novel 26a was on the 2006 Guardian First Book Award longlist and received the Orange Award for New Writers. The title of her 2018 novel Ordinary People quotes a song by John Legend from 2004.

2019 it was included in the anthology New Daughters of Africa by Margaret Busby added.
