Diana Vickers (born July 30, 1991 in Blackburn , England ) is a British pop singer and actress .

Life

Diana Vickers became known in 2008 for her participation in the talent show The X Factor , where she finished 4th. From October 2009 to January 2010 she was on stage in the West End of London in a revival of the musical comedy The Rise and Fall of Little Voice . There she played the main role of "Little Voice", who is aiming for a career as a singer and imitates great singers of the 50s and 60s. Vickers received the Theatregoers' Choice Award for best newcomer in the West End .

Because of her theatrical work, work on her debut album was postponed. On April 19, 2010 her debut single Once was finally released , which landed at number one straight away . Her debut album also reached number 1.

In 2014 she made her acting debut as Kim in the drama The Perfect Wave . She took on the role of Gemma in the British comedy series Give Out Girls .
