action

Susan (in the German version Diane), the wife of an anthropologist, has a miscarriage when drug addicts storm the hospital where she is staying. In search of her missing husband, she then travels to Africa, where she is accompanied by a publisher friend, David. You come across a tribe of ape men, the Near, who are particularly fascinated by Susan's blonde hair. During the journey there are attacks on her life, that of David's wife Laura and that of the guide. Susan decides to stay with the tribe to study its habits. When it turns out that David has Susan's husband on his conscience, the primitives help her get revenge.

criticism

The lexicon of international films saw a “miserable adventure story that gets entangled in a jungle of embarrassment with pseudophilosophy and sex.” “The unintentionally funny philosophies are entertaining,” says tvguide.

Remarks

The film was shot by the independent filmmaker Buchanan with minimal resources in Kenya.
