Diao Yinan

Diao Yinan ( Chinese  刁 亦 男 , Pinyin Diāo Yìnán ; * 1969 in Xi'an , China ) is a Chinese director , screenwriter and actor .

Life

Diao Yinan studied literature at the Central College of Dramaturgy in Beijing . In 1992 he finished his studies.

In 2014 he won the Golden Bear at the 64th Berlinale for the thriller Fireworks in broad daylight .

In 2019 he received an invitation to compete at the 72nd Cannes International Film Festival for the thriller The Lake of the Wild Geese ( Nan Fang Che Zhan De Ju Hui ) .
