Dick Taylor (athlete)
Dick Taylor (actually Richard George Taylor; born January 3, 1945 in Coventry ) is a former British long-distance runner .
In 1966 he was starting for England at the British Empire and Commonwealth Games in Kingston sixth over three miles . At the European Athletics Championships in Budapest he failed over 5000 m in the run.
At the 1968 Olympic Games in Mexico City, he was eliminated over 5000 m in the first round.
In 1969 he won silver for England at the Cross of Nations . At the European Championships in Athens he came in 15th place over 10,000 m .
In 1970 he won bronze over 10,000 m at the British Commonwealth Games in Edinburgh and was sixth in the 5000 m.
