Didier Dagueneau

Didier Dagueneau (* 1956 in Saint-Andelain , Nièvre , France ; † September 17, 2008 in Dordogne ) was a French winemaker .

Didier Dagueneau attended a viticulture school and made an extremely successful career as a world-class winemaker on the Loire . With his wines from the grapes Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir , the world-famous wines Chailloux, Buisson Renard, Asteroïde were produced; the white wines Pur Sang and Silex from the Pouilly-Fumé appellation were considered two of the world's best wines. It had cult status among wine connoisseurs.

In addition to his job, he was a well-known musher in sled dog races and won European and world championships.

He died in an accident with his microlight . He leaves behind a wife and four children.
