Didier Pitre (born September 1, 1883 in Valleyfield , Québec , † July 29, 1934 in Sault Ste. Marie , Ontario ) was a Canadian ice hockey player who, during his active time from 1903 to 1923, among others for the Montreal Canadiens in the national hockey League has played.

Career

Didier Pitre began his career as a hockey player in 1903 with the Montréal Nationals. After further amateur stations with the American Soo Indians, Montréal Shamrocks and Edmonton Eskimos, the attacker received a contract in 1909 with the newly founded Montréal Canadiens , for which he was active in the professional National Hockey Association for the next four years . After a year with the Vancouver Millionaires from the Pacific Coast Hockey Association , the Canadian returned to Montréal, with whom he won the prestigious Stanley Cup for the first and only time in his career in the 1915/16 season. From 1917 Pitre took part with the team from Québec in the newly formed National Hockey League , in which he ended his career in 1923. He died in 1934 at the age of 50. For his achievements he was honored in 1962 with the induction into the Hockey Hall of Fame .
