Didier de Saint-Jaille (* in Toulon ; † September 26, 1536 in Montpellier ) was a Provencal nobleman and from 1535 until his death the 46th Grand Master of the Order of Malta .

Life

He came from the Provençal tongue of the order and was Grand Prior of St. Gilles and Toulouse from 1523 to 1536. He was initially a simple friar in Toulouse until he was elected Grand Master on November 22, 1535 in absentia. He found out about his election in France and died less than a year later while traveling to Malta .
