DieWaehlerischen is a participatory platform aimed at adolescents and young adults in Saxony-Anhalt. The website deals with topics from the fields of politics, culture, society, education and social issues.

Elements of the page

The main component of DieWaehlerischen is a forum through which users can get in touch with each other and with the help of a Make something out of it! -Buttons can implement wishes together with the operators and partners of the platform. Video interviews and articles appear regularly in the editorial section of the site.

A special feature of the website is the regular DWhangout , in which video interviews with politicians are streamed live on the Internet and users of the platform can put their questions to the guest via the discussion forum, Twitter or Facebook. The guests included Holger Stahlknecht and Arne Lietz .

DieWaehlerischen also uses multimedia reports in order to present complex issues in an understandable manner and to increase awareness of the platform. With a report on the bombing of Magdeburg , DieWaehlerischen became known beyond the borders of Saxony-Anhalt. The report was realized by Tibor von Martini, Luca Deutschländer, Paul Lüder, Manuel Pape and Ronald Kühn.

DieWaehlerischen has a thousand registered users. DieWaehlerischen was presented in the radio program of the MDR and was awarded third place in 2015 in the Political Education Prize of the Federal Committee for Political Education .
