The castle

The castle is located southwest of Burbach , 594.5  m above sea level. NHN high mountain in the Siegen-Wittgenstein district . The mountain belongs to the southern Hellerbergland in the south of the Siegerland , which covers the Westerwald to the north.

On the mountain, the remains of a 2500 years old today Fliehburg the Celts to detect. The Buchhellertal , through which the Buchheller flows, lies southwest to west . The Peterszeche mine was in this valley, and the Eisenkaute mine to the south on the mountainside .
