Bart's teacher Mrs. Krabappel feels lonely and places a personal ad. One day when Bart is detained with her, he discovers the advertisement on her desk. He decides to play a prank on her and replies to her personal ad with a love letter. Meanwhile, neighbor Ned Flanders complains about Homer's swearing. Homer promises Marge to throw money into a jar every time he swears. Homer tries to build a dog house for the family dog and fails miserably. With the money from the curse glass, Marge and Lisa finally buy a dog house.
