The mouse hunt on the Titanic (original title: La leggenda del Titanic ) is an Italian animated film from 1999 by Orlando Corradi and Kim J. Ok. It is loosely based on the story of the sinking of the Titanic .

action

In New York City , the old mouse Conners tells her grandchildren the supposedly true story of the Titanic.

In April 1912 Conners was a young sailor mouse on the Titanic's maiden voyage from Southampton , England to New York City. Conners is responsible for the mice that make the journey. A young mouse from Brazil, Ronny, helps Conners. Conners falls in love with Ronny's sister Stella. People also enter the ship, including Elizabeth with her family. Her father and Elizabeth's stepmother want Elizabeth to marry Evarard Maltravers. But Elizabeth is dissatisfied with this decision because she is in love with the gypsy prince Juan. Elizabeth's father takes her feelings into account and Juan becomes his son-in-law. Maltravers had hoped for the whaling rights as a wedding gift, since his goal is to exterminate whales in the North Sea. He wants revenge out of anger and forges a plan. A shark, Iceteeth, and a giant octopus, Weissenegger, are supposed to capsize the ship by hurling icebergs at the Titanic. When the mice found out about the plan, they immediately report it to Elizabeth. With their help, they manage to make contact and call whales that bring all passengers to safety. Once in New York, Elizabeth and Juan marry. Conners also dares to work with Stella.
