The vagabonds of infinity (. French Le Vagabond of Limbes ) is a French-Belgian science fiction - comic book series , by Christian Godard texted and Julio Ribera was drawn. The stories first appeared from 1975 to 2003.

Axel Munshine is actually a highly respected member of the Galactic Empire Guild. As he illegally entered the realm of dreams with a self-made device, he was expelled and threatened with death. He roams the universe with his huge spaceship Silver Dolphin, always aiming to find the woman of his dreams Chimeer . At his side is Musky, a centuries-old hermaphrodite creature who, at his own request, has committed himself to being a 13-year-old cheeky brat.

The first album was released in 1975 by Hachette , followed by the pre-release of volumes 2 and 3 in Circus magazine . Volume 4 appeared in Tintin . Volumes 5 through 14 were printed in Pilote . Its publisher Dargaud also took over the album publication from 1978. 2002 to 2007 appeared a complete edition in 11 volumes.

In Germany, the series is not fully published. The first two albums were published by Condor in 1979 , Volksverlag printed an album and several episodes in Pilot and Schwermetall , then three albums were published by Alpha-Comic Verlag . Feest printed the series from volume 16 and Arboris from volume 22.

The second volume, L'empire des soleils noirs , won the prize for the best album at the 1976 Angoulême festival .
