Diego Ferreira , full name Diego Ismael Ferreira Villa , (born May 4, 1985 in Montevideo ) is a Uruguayan football player .

Career

The 1.82 meter tall midfielder Ferreira was part of the Defensor Sporting squad at the beginning of his career from Apertura 2005 to early August 2012 . During this period, his team won the Uruguayan championship in the 2007/08 season. For the Montevideans, he played at least 49 games in the Primera División and scored at least eight times in the opposing goal (2008/09 season:? Games / 2 goals; 2009/10: 4/1; 2010/11: 16/0; 2011 / 12: 28/5). He has also been used in twelve Copa Libertadores (no goal) and four Copa Sudamericana (no goal) matches since the 2008/09 season . Then he moved on loan to Argentina to Tigre , with whom he the finals at the 2012 Copa Sudamericana reached in December 2012, but with disastrous appearance against the Sao Paulo defeated in are aggregated score of both games. Nine times, including in the two finals, he was on the pitch in this competition and scored two goals. He also ran eight times in the Copa Libertadores and 20 times in the Argentine Primera División for Tigre. However, he was unable to record a personal goal.
