Diego Petriccione
Diego Petriccione (born April 28, 1867 in Naples , † April 1, 1942 in Florence ) was an Italian journalist , art critic and playwright .
Life
Petriccione has worked as a journalist and art critic for several of his hometown-based magazines, including the Corriere di Napoli , Il Mattino illustrato and the Don Marzio . He worked for the Neapolitan newspaper Roma from 1897 to 1928.
In parallel to his journalistic activities, Petriccione wrote several plays in the Neapolitan dialect. The dramatic and comedic one-act plays were successfully performed and his comedy 'O quatto' e maggio , premiered in 1931, was made into a film by Giorgio Simonelli after his death .
His son Federico Petriccione (1895–1970) later became a critic with the Roma .
