Diego Zabala , full name Diego Martín Zabala Morales , (born September 19, 1991 in Montevideo ) is a Uruguayan football player .

Career

The 1.69 meter tall midfielder Zabala has been in the squad of Uruguayan first division team Racing Club de Montevideo since at least the 2010/11 season . That season he played nine games (one goal) in the Primera División . In the following seasons 2011/12, 2012/13 and 2013/14 he played in 12, 20 and 30 first division games and scored 1, 2 and 3 goals respectively. In the 2014/15 season he was used 29 times (five goals) in the top Uruguayan league. This was followed by 15 more premier league appearances (one goal) in Apertura 2015. He then moved to Vélez Sársfield in early February 2016, initially for six months on loan . There he completed 33 games (six goals) in the Argentine Primera División and one (no goal) in the Copa Argentina . In July 2017 he joined Unión de Santa Fe .
