Dierk Homeyer (born October 1, 1955 in Möllbergen ) is a German politician ( CDU ). Between 1994 and 2019 he was a member of the Brandenburg State Parliament .

Work and private life

Homeyer is a trained wholesale and foreign trade clerk and describes himself as a business economist specializing in logistics. He was a professional soldier in the Bundeswehr for many years and came to Brandenburg in this role in 1991. He has been a member of the state parliament there since 1994 .

Homeyer has two children.

Political career

Homeyer joined the CDU in 1992. In 1993 he was elected to the district council of the Märkisch-Oderland district and in 1994 chairman of the CDU parliamentary group . In the CDU district association Märkisch-Oderland, he was district chairman from 2000 to 2006. Since 2009 he has been the district chairman of the CDU in the Oder-Spree district association . Although he is still not a member of the CDU Oder-Spree, but his membership in the CDU district association Märkisch-Oderland, the district party conference of the CDU Oder-Spree on March 31, 2012 elected him to his second with almost 96% of the votes without opposing candidates Term of office as district chairman.

In 1994 Homeyer was elected to the state parliament via the state list . In 1999, 2004 and 2009 he was re-elected, also from the list. From 1994 to 2004 Homeyer was the parliamentary managing director of the CDU state parliamentary group. From 1999 to 2004 he was also a member of the Presidium of the State Parliament and Deputy Chairman of the State Parliament's parliamentary control commission , which is supposed to monitor the work of the state's protection of the constitution . From 1994 to 2004 he was a member of the Interior Committee, from 2001 to 2004 in the Committee of Inquiry 3/2, from 2004 to the present day in the Committee on Economy. From 2008 to 2009 he was a member and chairman of his parliamentary group in the investigative committee “Land Reform” and since October 2010 in investigative committee 5/1. He was also a member of the Committee on Budget and Finance (2009) and the Committee on European Affairs and Development Policy (2009-2010). Since May 2010 he was also a member of the Budget and Finance Committee. From 2008 to 2009 he was the budget and financial policy spokesman for his group, and has been the economic policy spokesman since then.

From 1997 to 2005 Homeyer was state treasurer of the CDU Brandenburg . Homeyer was to become general secretary of the regional association in January 2007 at the suggestion of the newly elected CDU chairman Ulrich Junghanns from Brandenburg .

Political activity

In 1996 Homeyer was accused of violating data protection as Parliamentary Managing Director. He had published a list with the names of all employees of the parliamentary group and their salary levels in the report to the state parliament.
